Located in a historic landmark building in the Corryville Short Vine Business district, the University of Cincinnati College of Design Art Architecture and Planning utilizes the Turner Design Center for a studio and gallery space.
A Community Coming Together
In addition to the two studios, the project includes retail space, gallery space, and two loft apartments for short term occupancy. The architectural design includes reconstruction that caters to the historic features of the building, as well as architectural elements that relate to the existing character of the neighborhood. The scope of work was coordinated with the City of Cincinnati for the redevelopment of the streetscape to provide a consistent feel to the northern end of the Corryville business district.
