Brewery District
Reds Brew N30 large10x10 - Project Description

The Cincinnati Brewery District at Great American Ballpark features of a 72 foot-long bar, informally dubbed ‘The Long Bar’, that offers over 60 taps of local, regional and international beers.

The lower bar facade is bold, monolithic, cast-in-place concrete with recessed lettering and graphics, that contrast sharply with the warmer, rustic, Sapele wood bar top with an exposed live-edge profile. Reclaimed wood siding and historic, sepia-toned Cincinnati Reds team photographs line the rear wall. This subdued background highlights the recycled beer keg displays on raw steel shelves that are backlit in Cincinnati red, whose glow can be seen all along the concourse.

Centered above the bar on a stadium support column, wood slats replicating the bottom of a wooden barrel serve as the main bar signage. Red neon lettering displays the bar’s official name, “Reds Brewery District”, the Reds logo, and three televisions so that patrons waiting in line won’t miss a single play. Large copper brew kettles flank the bar, giving the space a distinct ’brewery’ feel and defined bar-area where patrons can socialize and watch the game.

The bar installation successfully brings the rich beer brewing history of Cincinnati’s historic Brewery District to the Reds ballpark while at the same time providing a great place for fans to enjoy the game.
