MSA Sport collaborated with Centre College to create The Initiative for Wellness and Athletic Excellence that has set a new bar among peer and aspirant institutions across the country.
State of the Art Facility
Encompassing a state-of-the-art strength and performance center, a 200-meter indoor track with a turf infield, a 50-meter aquatics center, locker rooms, multi-purpose event spaces, as well as the relocation and revitalization of current facilities, the project transforms health and wellness opportunities, varsity athletic training and competition, student recruitment, and community connection.
Sustainable Growth
The initiative creates exceptional wellness, training, competition, and event space for the current Centre community and enable sustainable growth of the student, faculty, and staff populations far into the College’s future.
Champions Hall
This new 135,000-square-foot facility is devoted to wellness and athletic excellence at Centre College. The complex provides the entire campus with amenities for athletes while setting a new standard for holistic education at top-ranked residential liberal arts colleges across the nation.
Gary Wright Field at Fishman Park
The newly built complex serves as the new home for the Centre Baseball team, and is arguably one of the best Division III facilities in the nation. The playing field is comprised of turf, including the mound and bullpens, which enhances the experiences when training and playing for players. The field also features new dugouts, an ADA accessible press-box, LED lighting, and a new video display and scoreboard. The field was constructed to sit below ground level and is surrounded with redesigned seating and spectator areas for exceptional sight-lines.
Andy Frye Stadium
As home to Centre College football, men’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s track & field, Andy Frye Stadium was built on the grounds of the old Farris Stadium, which had stood since 1923. The new stadium includes an NCAA regulation turf football field, updated lighting, a 32-foot LED video board and scoreboard, new press box, permanent visitor seating along the eastern sideline, state-of-the-art locker rooms, coaching offices, and hospitality suites.
