Building Assessments
MSA Design worked with the City of Columbus to provide an assessment for various City owned buildings to determine the scope of roof repair and/or replacement. The City selected five buildings to combine into one bid project. The work on City Hall included the removal and replacement of areas of flat roof, as well as repair of portions of the historic ornamental trim.
Preserving these historic buildings is key to cherishing the fabric of the city and enhancing the environment.
Repairs and Restoration
The Department of Health on Parsons Avenue included replacement of membrane roofing, repair of shingle roof, and the repair and replacement of portions of the clay tile roof. The project also included repair of flashing and trim. The East Side and West Side Health buildings both included replacement of membrane roof systems, and the South Side Head Start included a new asphalt shingle roof as well as new gutters and downspouts. MSA provided full construction documents as well as construction administration.
