LADD

Donor Recognition
LADD_Project Description

Guided by the principle, “all people have ability and value,” LADD empowers adults with developmental disabilities to “live, work and connect” in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Donor Wall Painting

In 2015, MSA Design was approached by LADD to design an installation to honor the donors for their newly opened Center for Community Engagement. The final design concept centered around a custom canvas and floating acrylic panels to display donor names and the LADD logo. It was important for LADD to engage one of their residents to create the unique piece of art that would serve as the backdrop. Acclaimed artist Michael Weber was commissioned to paint the piece. MSA Design worked with LADD and Michael to curate the final composition so that his signature expressive brush strokes became reflections of the LADD logo. His chosen palette infused the lobby with a sense of vibrancy and joy and the primary use of orange reflects LADD’s brand identity.

Margaret B. Geir Wall

Co-founder of LADD, Margaret B. Geier dedicated her life to helping people with developmental disabilities and served as LADD’s first board president. In her honor, the Margaret B. Society was created to recognize donors who give $1,000 or more annually to support their mission.

Mission and Values

Two years after the initial donor installation, LADD reached out to MSA Design to create a complimentary donor installation to honor the annual Margaret B. Society donors and to also design an installation to showcase their mission and values.
