MSA worked with MKSK in the conceptualization, design and documentation for this project. The overarching theme was to fuse three staples of the Lawrenceburg together in one expression – old bridges, limestone, and rye barrels. The materials evoke the foundations of the area’s traditions, and the geometry of the stone is arched and takes the profile of a well-worn river rock. The barrel staves give the canopy ceiling warmth and rooted texture for summer and autumn concerts.
