This renovation maximizes existing facility assets to be multi-functional, inspire learning, and support the mission of the district.
Master Plan in Motion
MSA was hired to complete a Master Plan of the existing performing and visual arts classrooms, auditorium, and cafeteria. After assessment and concept visioning, MSA Design was hired for the renovation of the Madeira High School Visual and Performing Arts Spaces and Cafeteria. Included in this project was the Dining Commons, Art Classroom, Band and Choir Rooms, Theater Support, Multi-Purpose Classroom, and Auditorium.
Designing for the User
First, collaboration sessions were held with steering committees to gather information about how the existing spaces are used. Then, the design team developed concept diagrams for an overall master plan along with conceptual cost estimates. MSA further developed the design for the spaces.
A Fresh Look
Madeira City Schools now houses not only a state of the art performing arts facility designed for the future, but also a dining commons space that provides a multi-purpose gathering area for a variety of school functions.
