The Stadium

The existing 65k seat stadium, home of the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals Franchise, will be enhanced with a new North End Zone, Expanded and enhanced South End Zone, New Plaza and Vertical Transportation Towers, and also be completely renovated and updated at every level – from the service operations to the upper bowl. The proposed expansions are designed to fit within the unique architectural form and aesthetic of the building, completed in 2000 and the only stadium to win an Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects.

The Site

The $1.2 billion plan also features an extension to Cincinnati’s world-renowned redeveloped riverfront with Community-use parks / open space, including a new “Bengals Promenade” “Paul Brown Way” pedestrian space, and new green space that can double as outdoor tailgating and festivals during games, concerts, and other events on the riverfront. A new Team Headquarters and Training Complex is to be developed on the site of existing practice fields and concrete plant, which enhances the community use of the main stadium by allowing the Bengals to have a 24/7 operations center. The completed vision will provide for a sustainable and top tier NFL home for the Bengals franchise, while also expanding the community use of this iconic stadium venue, the Gateway to Ohio and Greater Cincinnati.
