With the news of long-time favorite Reds ballplayer, Joey Votto, not returning to the game in a Reds uniform our team wanted to feature him on our annual Reds Opening Day mailer. Seeing that Joey Votto played for the Cincinnati Reds for 17 straight seasons, we had to point out our favorite moments throughout his career with this piece. There’s a reason so many Reds fans love supporting Joey Votto, he is an interesting guy who isn’t afraid to show all sides of his personality and interests. One might be surprised to hear about all the different hobbies and activities he picks up outside the ball park, so our team dubbed this mailer “The Most Interesting Man in Baseball: Joey Votto.”

This mailer pays homage to a handful of Reds Hall of Famers and other players that have contributed to the game of baseball. When unfolding, the recipient can find a section about the history and achievements of iconic ball players from Cincinnati.

Our team worked to provide recipients with a special Joey Votto jersey giveaway with this mailer. A perforated tear-off card was designed in this print piece so recipients could tear away the information, enter the giveaway, and be left with a unique poster of Joey Votto designed to look like a vintage baseball card.

One prominent aspect in this mailer was music. Throughout Vottos career he always stood out with the walk on music he chose when heading up to bat. He was often seen even showing off his dance moves interacting with fans in the stands. We included a QR code inside the mailer that links to a custom playlist with the memorable music he has used over the years.
